Why archive my site?
We figure you probably already know the answer to this question. Simply put, you're probably not using your site anymore. But you need to keep it on the web for some reason.
This means you're not changing the site anymore. But you're still paying for it. If so, you may archive a current copy of your site that can be hosted for free.

Does this work on all sites?
Not all. We generate a static site. So if your site has web forms, user sections, or content which changes in real-time, then it is a dynamic site.
This doesn't mean you can't archive it. You may review these parts of your site to determine if they really need to be dynamic. If not, you could replace or remove them before archiving.

What if I have a contact form?
We can archive sites that have a simple contact form. One which emails you the submitted form data. We'll convert everything to use Cloudflare's services and update your form.
Of course, you may also remove this dynamic piece of your website. Replacing it with your contact information is a better alternative. It avoids maintenance and SPAM.

What's included in the bundle?
We attempt to bundle everything from your live site. In most cases, it will include all the files you need to republish your site on Cloudflare.
In some cases, such as sites with lots of assets (large images, videos, or file downloads), you may need to add these separately. This is a pretty simple step. But we'll include a report of anything missing from the bundle.

How would I manage my site?
We push your bundle to a private repository on GitHub. So everything needed for your static site is stored there. If you make any changes, we set things up to automatically publish to Cloudflare.
To make changes, you would edit your static site directly. You may do so right from GitHub's file editor. Or you can pull down your entire project using Git.

Do I have to use Cloudflare?
The great thing about a static site is you can host anywhere since it's just HTML files and web assets. Even better, there are many services which host static sites for free.
We use Cloudflare because their free plan gives you access to more services than you'll probably even need. Plus, their API which allow us to automate almost everything for you.
